I’ve been really comfortable on the new Trek Madone 5.2. A little too comfortable. The saddle was a little low and the handlebars a little high. No back pain though. And when you’re drafting like I always do, you don’t need to be too aerodynamic. I lowered the handlebars 25mm and raised the saddle about […] Reverse Triangle Noda Tone Unga Tone River Sekiyado

Did the reverse of last Saturday’s ride. Headwind on the way home again to add to the fire. Went into the 84kg range this morning for the first time in a year. Still doing the Paleo diet + protein powder. Had a nice chat with an Apex member at the castle. He was doing the […] Replacing SIDI heel pads

The guys who couldn’t ride Tuesday due to rain and also didn’t ride last night wanted to ride tonight. Nine of us turned up and did our usual Tuesday ride. I got dropped at the 18km mark after chasing down a breakaway at 56kph. Didn’t feel like going up the hill at break neck speed […] NNC Wednesday

Today Warm up: 9.34km Today Main and cool down: 34.44km Yearly total: 2164.16km Daily average:? Daily average goal: 33.71 km BurNODA Triangle

Did the Edo, Sekiyado, Tone river triangle today. Was a nice windy ride. 20km TT warm up with a tail wind. A bottle of Gatorade at the castle, then a 30km heavy gear fat burning headwind down the Tone river then a nice cool down along the Tone canal back to the Edo river for […] Paleo Good stuff

One week on the Paleo diet and I’m back in the winner’s circle. Completely different. Have dropped 2 or 3kgs. Have not had any dairy, processed food, sugar, and a few other things for a week now. I had some sugar withdrawal symptoms. Lots of blueberry, blackberry, raspberry & protein powder frozen smoothies…sometimes with almonds […] Japan
