Been riding 50kms to and from work 3 or 4 days a week for the last month or so… need to keep track of everything….
From my home I ride along the Edo river to Nagareyama for 13kms…then 7 to where I used to loive then 5 to my new job. On the way home I go to work near where I used to live then baqck track home.. ie. I ride 25kms to work in the morning then 5 to my second job then 20 back home, usually at a faster pace….
To keep my back dry I’ve replaced the backpack with this pannier that slides onto a tracked rack…not too big not too small…
What better place than a blog to record my efforts…
A quick summary!…
Week 1
May 15 to 21. 50 + 50 + 20 = 120.
Week 2
May 22 to 28. 50 + 25 (storm and train home) + 25 + 50. = 150
Week 3
May 29 to June 4. 50 + 50 + 50 = 150
Week 4
June 5 to 11. 50 + 40 + 40 = 130
Week 5
June 12 to 18. 50 + 50 + 25 = 125
Week 6
Jun 19 to 25. 62 + 50 + 60 = 172
We are in the middle of rainy season so have had to drive sometimes…
I need to get my average up to over 200km per week…
Today my wife joined our team training ride. We hadn’t ridden for many weeks due to rain on Sunday mornings. It was good to see 20 people roll up and get back into some serious sprint training….
