My brother and I did a nice 63km of ups and downs in the mountains of Hakuba. The Autumn leaves were still beautiful, unlike last year when we were up here for the same weekend and all the leaves had disappeared.

The route: Meitetsu to Tsugaike. Tsugaike to the top of route 406.
Top of 406 through the tunnel and down the other side to the goat track that is a road on the map up another ridge to the top of Ogawagawa. Down the Ogawagawa road following the river to Ogawa Mura then back up (UP it was) the main road to Hakuba (33).  4 climbs all up.
