After playing a dismal game of golf yesterday was in no mood to do anything physical today so I took the shopping bicycle across the bridge to test out the new video camera.
Today is the day that I normally race in Saiko for the Nikkan Sports Nakano Memorial race. I’ve done the last 5 years in a row. Yesterday though, I had to present the main prizes for Piranha golf at the Kouyou Golf tournament in Ibaraki.
I even tried to play as well. Had a terrible round and pulled up a bit sore where I cut my arm tendon in August. Still needs a bit more time to repair. I won’t blame that though on my poor play. On the front 9 I was hitting about 50% of my tee offs well but the bad ones cause lots of deductions with out of bounds and lost balls. I managed to par only one hole all day. Putted well, chipped poorly. Need some new clubs too as my near 30 year old Mizunos are just too old and heavy compared to what everybody else had. When I did connect with the #1 wood it went pretty far. Will be good to try a modern club one day as I have not had the pleasure to as yet.
Met a lot of new friends yesterday from all over the Kanto plain and hopefully will get to see them again soon. The Piranha gold clubs and prizes we offered were well received. I hope they get to be used a lot and we get some good feedback from those winners. Winners are grinners!
