Been slack and have not updated my rides of late. Usually happens this time of year when the cold creeps in.
Going to have a big ride tomorrow though and a short one today. 100km ride from home with a few guys from the Apex team. Train home with onsen and a few beers to boot.
Will be great to see Robbie McEwen in the Japan Cup and Utsunomiya tomorrow.
Have to go and buy some new bar tape today though as it’s starting to unravel.
Been to a few Tuesday night trainings but have missed the Thursdays. Didn’t ride last weekend either. But I did play golf on Monday.
First time in almost a year. The highlight of the day was parring the first hole (4).
It was all downhill from there.
I will blame the driver. A new TaylorMade 09 Burner Driver I picked up on Rakuten very cheaply. This is the first time I’ve ever used a modern driver. I have Mizuno clubs that are over 20 years old. The drivers are made of persimmon wood and are great vintage clubs.
This new TaylorMade 09 Burner Driver is light as a feather and completely different to what I’ve used in the past. Got the hang of it on the back 9.
Until Piranha Golf brings out a left handed version I’m going to continue playing with my vintage clubs. And will persevere with the new driver too.
