Michael’s school ran in the annual Noda—-Matsudo 31km ekiden today and shocked us all by finishing a strong 5th out of more than 70 schools. Was a very proud dad to see my son bolting by with his cheer squad holding a big banner with his name on it.

The 1st year I entered was my 2nd ever race, and I got dropped about half way. The 2nd year I managed to come 3rd. Last year I got dropped again and pulled out at the halfway mark. This year I managed to finish strongly but only managed a 29th placing 9 seconds back from
