I’ve been really comfortable on the new Trek Madone 5.2. A little too comfortable. The saddle was a little low and the handlebars a little high. No back pain though. And when you’re drafting like I always do, you don’t need to be too aerodynamic.
I lowered the handlebars 25mm and raised the saddle about 20mm. The saddle needs to come down 3 or 4mm but will see how this goes on Tuesday night. This is a big adjustment so the bike is going to feel like a different one the next time I give it a hard work out. I just took it for a slow stroll of 3km to see how it felt. I will probably wobble a bit on a high cadence as my legs are at almost full stretch on the 6 o’clock down pedal.
Cornering has been a concern lately with the new bike’s front wheel wanting to go wide on fast corners. The new race position should correct this.
Paleo diet still in effect. Down a little over 3kgs in almost 3 weeks.
