Starbucks Sunday

Was cold and overcast with rain threatening. Sunday training had been prematurely cancelled…but Dave came to the rescue and got me out of the house. We met close to half way at the Tega Numa parking area and then made our way over the bridge, up the hill and into Espa for a chat over [...]

13 riders made it to the start and NO RAIN!!! I said to myself at the 10km mark… ‘it gets tough between the 15km to 20km mark and then it gets easy till the last lap…so just hold on till the 20km mark…’ This kind of mental image training is sometimes programming yourself to fail… [...]

Sunday: Had a team meeting to discuss the ever increasing traffic on the Edo river cycling course, our clubs reputation in public and safety issues. The result being [...]

Hakuba Hot & Cold

Skiing to the left of me riding to the right. Was so hot it made me feel a bit sick so I turned around at the halfway mark and went home. Should have worn my summer clothes. The snowboarding at 47 put me off in the ‘what clothes to wear’ department. Still feeling a bit [...]
